Chirac Presents Bush With the "Codpiece of
Freedom"

Chirac, left, shows President Bush
where his old socks are. They were airing out on a clothesline
in the courtyard at the G-8 Summit. Earlier Mr. Chirac had
presented Mr. Bush the "Codpiece of Freedom", a gift from the
People of France.
Mr. Bush seemed quite pleased with the the gift and tried it on
without hesitation. It seems executive codpieces are somewhat
the rage in the European business community. Differences over Iraq had
caused a major rift between Washington and longtime ally France, but
the codpiece seemed to help mend the fence. |
