Richard Perle Denies Rumors That
He has Been Dead Since 1975

Washington (IWR Satire) - Former Pentagon Defense Policy Czar, Richard Perle, today denied charges made by Seymour Hersh of the New Yorker that Mr. Perle has been dead since 1975.  "Only a terrorist traitor like Mr. Hersh would make such an outrageous claim," said an angry Perle or a ventriloquist throwing his voice and making the press think that Perle's corpse was talking.  Perle's lawyer, Igor, refused to allow Perle's pulse taken to determine if he was really alive.  Later in the day, Paul Wolfowitz told Pentagon reporters that he could not confirm whether or not Perle was amongst the living.  "Richard reminds me a lot of that horror movie character The Mummy.  I mean was The Mummy alive or not?  That question is way above my pay grade," said Wolfowitz.
