IWR Note - Tom Long of the
Detroit News reports that the U.S. cable News outlets are feeding
the America people a kind of "subtle propaganda".
"I would imagine the administration
would be quite happy with the way the networks are reporting the war,"
said Stephen Manning, an associate professor of political science at
University of Detroit Mercy.
"We don't know we're getting
propaganda. We wouldn't," Manning said. "It's a soft propaganda with
kid gloves on. It's not blatant; it's not overt. That's exactly what
makes it more dangerous."
