"I would imagine the administration would be quite happy with the way the networks are reporting the war," said Stephen Manning, an associate professor of political science at University of Detroit Mercy.

"We don't know we're getting propaganda. We wouldn't," Manning said. "It's a soft propaganda with kid gloves on. It's not blatant; it's not overt. That's exactly what makes it more dangerous."

"It's almost a go-USA pep rally," said John Gray, a 29-year-old ad agency worker from Ann Arbor. "The coverage has been very pro-American, to the extent that it may be biased."
