This song is a tribute to psychologist Wilhelm Reich and also his son Peter.  The cloudbuster is a device that Reich built that he claimed could make it rain.  Once upon a time, I traveled to Rangeley, Maine and actually visited the museum there and saw the machine.  It's a beautiful part of Maine.

The Doors - Touch Me (Live)
These next four songs were big hits in 1969 when the Eagle landed on the moon 40 years ago on July 20, 1969. First, I start off with the Doors.  It's interesting to see Jim Morrison backed up by strings on the Smothers Brothers.

Portrait of the Journalist as an Anchorman
Arguably the greatest journalist in American history, and certainly the most respected TV news anchor of our times. Update: Cronkite Warned In Lead-Up To Iraq War — ‘We Are Going To Be In Such A Fix’, I think the John Kings and Wolf Blitzers of the world must have forgot about that point.

Sweet Basil

I bought some sweet basil on Sunday at the local farmer's market in Moraga, and I forgot how absolutely wonderful fresh cut sweet basil smells.  At the moment, I can't think of anything that smells better, can you?   I love to put basil in just about everything that I cook, e.g., pizza, soups, pasta. Here's a few interesting recipes.  I've just got to try the salad below!

Lena Zavaroni - It's Only A Paper Moon [Lyrics]
When I saw images from the moon probe, this old song came to mind. Here's an original recording by Peggy Healy from 1933.  The lyrics still hold up pretty well for our modern world.  It's a Barnum and Bailey world, Just as phony as it can be. But it wouldn't be make-believe,
If you believe in me.

Art of Noise - Beat Box
This week's music to shave by is from the Art of Noise.  Unfortunately, Norton Antivirus in it's "wisdom" nuked all of my cookies, which meant I had to jump through a bunch of Big Brother Goog hoops just to watch this video.  I guess some Nazi advertiser or the Chinese government (Big Brother Goog just loves kiss those commie authoritarian buttocks) didn't like this harmless video for some arbitrary reason.
